Populous Live Emotion gallery
I’ve been working with architectural practice Populous since 2014. Most recently, I completed a project celebrating their 40th anniversary. We took over gallery spaces in London, New York and Brisbane, creating exhibits out of the firm’s most iconic projects. And it’s one of those rare instances where the word iconic isn’t an over-exaggeration. Their portfolio includes Wembley Stadium, Yankee Stadium, Wimbledon Centre Court, Sydney Olympic Stadium, The O2 Arena, The Sphere Las Vegas, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and many, many more. After the live exhibitions concluded, we brought all the projects together in a virtual gallery.
I was responsible for every word written within the galleries. As with previous Populous projects, my main input was to take dry, almost academic, architectural descriptions and turn them into engaging sports journalism. Check out the virtual gallery here.
